WOOSTER, Ohio — Carissa Pittman won the 17 and older showmanship class and went on to win the supreme senior dairy showmanship honors during a contest held at the Wayne County Junior Fair Dairy Show.
Audrey Sidle was named reserve senior supreme dairy showman. Other senior division winners were Kaylee Cherry, winner among 16-year olds in Division 1, and Jacob Howman, winner among 16-year olds in Division 2. Emma McDonnell was tops among 15-year olds.
Jacelyn Cherry, who placed first in the group of 13-year old contestants, was named supreme intermediate champion. Callihan Spreng, winner of the 12-year old division, was selected as the reserve supreme intermediate showman. Other winners in the intermediate group were Bryson Indorf, winner among 14-year olds, Division 1; Landon Ellerbrock, winner among 14-year olds, Division 2 and Avery Ostarchvic, winner of the Class 2 group of 12-year olds.
Among 9-10 year old contestants, Blakely Robinson topped the field and went on to be named supreme junior showman. Jud Pitts captured reserve supreme junior showman honors. Other winners in the junior division included Ryan Shockey, Caroline Raber, Paisley Hostettler and Jackson Besancon.
In the breed shows, results were:
- Holsteins – Grand champion: Audrey Sidle; junior champion: Kaylee Cherry.
- Brown Swiss – Grand champion: Jacob Howman; junior champion: Carissa Pittman.
- Jerseys – Grand champion: Audrey Sidle; junior champion Madigan Reynolds.
- Guernseys – Grand champion: Audrey Sidle; junior champion: Carissa Pittman
- Ayrshires – Grand champion: Paisley Weekley; junior champion: Audrey Sidle.
