UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Dairy Extension dairy team is offering a series of in-person workshops on enhancing milk quality, comfort and profitability for dairy producers, dairy employees and professionals within the dairy industry. Following are the details.
• Milk Matters: Managing Milk Quality & Prices, takes place on July 2 from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at John Lapp’s Farm, 371 Bachman Road, Strasburg, Lancaster County. The cost for this workshop is $10, with $5 for each additional participant from the same farm. Lunch is included.

• Cow Comfort around the farm:
- July 22, from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Calvin Hoover Farm, 463 Palman Road, Millmont, Union County
- July 29, from 9:30 a.m. – 2: p.m. at Franklin View Farms, Washington Boro, Lancaster County.
With cow comfort essential to maximizing herd health, productivity and profitability, this workshop will focus on practical approaches for key comfort goals.
There is no cost for these workshops and lunch is included. Educational credits are approved for National Dairy FARM Program Stockmanship and Calf Care.
