SMITHSBURG, Md. — Triple-Hil Sires is pleased to announce that 525HO155 Hillmont Jacot Cinnamon-Red was recently confirmed (EX- 95) by a committee of Holstein classifiers. Evaluated at the age of 5 years and 7 months, his official breakdown is as follows: Front end/capacity: 98, Dairy Strength: 92, Rump: 97, Feet & Legs: 93. His breeder/owner is Kirk Hillegass of Berlin, Somerset County, Pa.

“As is often the case, this beautiful bovine specimen isn’t a genetic fluke. He’s the result of decades of quality breeding,” Jared noted.
Cinnamon’s sire is Jacot-Red, a European bull who transmitted great success to his milking daughters across the globe. Jacot also brings in some intriguing bulls through his sire Sympatico, including Snowman, Planet, and Sandy-Valley Bolton.
Jacot’s dam was a Comestar Lauthority daughter from the renowned Rockymountain Talent Licorice (EX-95). Licorice was built on the stalwart genetic giants like Maughlin Storm, Startmore Rudolph, and Donnadale Skychief.
“On the maternal side of Cinnamon’s genetic pool, we find even more greats!” Jared observed. “His dam was an EX-91 Armani, whom Kirk describes as one of the best cows he ever bred. Her life was cut short by an injury before her full potential could be realized. But not before she made an impressive record of 35,000 lbs. with 5% butterfat. Of course, through her sire Armani, we bring in two notable titans, Braedale Goldwyn and KHW Regiment Apple!”
“Cinnamon’s maternal grand-dam was an EX-92 3E Aspen daughter. This cow ties us into the wonderful brood cow extraordinaire Tri-Day Ashlyn (EX-96-2E) as well as another shot of the legendary Comestar Laurie Sheik breeding. Also finding a place in this pedigree is Hanoverhill Raider, through his son Comestar Lee (sire of Aspen).
“Another generation back brings us to one of our all-time favorites; the incredible EX-96-2E Savage-Leigh Leona. She was a Canyon-Breeze Allen daughter with amazing capacity and dairy quality. Then of course, we have the influential Durham daughter Savage-Leigh Licorice (EX-92), our own Maryland star, who has had far-reaching influence in the breed at large.
