MONTROSE, Pa. — To celebrate June is Dairy Month, the Susquehanna County Dairy Promotion Team purchased milk and cheese for delivery to three different food banks that serve needy families. Each jug of milk and block of cheese had a dairy message attached to it.

The team is ready to promote farmers and their delicious and wholesome milk and the many dairy products made from milk. All eight members of Susquehanna County’s team spoke at the Dairy Promotion Pageant about their favorite dairy promotion and what they each plan to do in the year ahead in support of dairy farmers.

Some of the promotions team members mentioned were Ag Literacy Week, the Harford Fair making and serving samples of yogurt parfaits and smoothies. Other favorites were dairy farm visits, parades, 4-H events, summer camps and dairy shows.
