McWilliams’ show string dominated Southwestern show

MEYERSDALE, Pa. — Sam McWilliams of northern Somerset County continues to make a name for himself in Pennsylvania Holstein circles. His cows once again dominated the Southwest Pennsylvania Championship Show, held here at the Somerset County Fairgrounds on July 12.

McWilliams won top honors as both Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor, following victories with his well-known aged cow, McWilliams Damion Grace (2E-94) among numerous others. Aside from being named grand champion, Grace was also named best bred and owned cow of the show. The Albert Barnett Memorial Award honors the breeder. It was the second year in a row that Grace reigned as queen of the show.

In the youth division, it was Pennwood Holsteins that stood out again and again, with one of the Stoltzfus kids on the halter, namely: Claire, Charles, Cara and Sara.
