LIBERTY, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Jersey Cattle Association (PJCA) will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, April 11, at the Holiday Inn in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The full-day meeting will include youth contests, the PJCA annual meeting and luncheon, a silent auction benefiting the PJCA Youth Fund, and a youth awards banquet. Youth contests will be held throughout the day, with check-in beginning in the late morning. PJCA will at introduce two new youth contests at the meeting.
The PJCA Jersey Calf Scholarship is open to Pennsylvania youths ages 8 to 16, with preference given to youths who do not currently own a Jersey animal. The selected recipient will receive up to $1000 to assist with the purchase of a Registered Jersey.
The second new contest, Jersey Dairy Challenge, will feature a station-based format where participants answer questions and identify dairy-related items within a set time limit. Stations will cover both general dairy topics and Jersey-specific information. Junior and senior divisions will be offered.
In addition to the new contests, youth may apply to participate in PJCA’s established programs, including Jersey Achievement, First Year Project, Scholarship, Speech, Dairy Jeopardy, Folding Display, Production Contest, and Pennsylvania Jersey Queen. Youth ages 8 to 20, as of January 1, 2026, are eligible. Applications for all youth contests are due by 10 p.m. on March 21, 2026.
