USDA names appointees to boards that guide check-off and more
The USDA has appointed 13 dairy farmers to the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board, including five new members, with most set to serve 3-year terms through Oct. 31, 2028.

The Pease Family, owners of Sweet-Peas Holsteins in Susquehanna County, was named Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association’s Spring Show, held on April 25 at the Juniata County Fairgrounds. A total of 167 head were shown.

Penn State students return from NAIDC with honors
Penn State had a strong showing at the 2026 North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge, with the contest team placing second in their bracket. The contest was held here April 12-14, hosted by Dordt University, Iowa State University and South Dakota State University. Forty-five academic schools participated, with 144 contestants and 139 attending the Academy.
