NEW HOLLAND, Pa. — The fifth annual Sensenig’s Feed Mill June Dairy Month Milkshake Giveaway will take place on Wednesday, June 11 starting at 11 a.m. in the parking lot at 33 South Railroad Ave., just above the feed mill in New Holland.
The event will again feature the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association milkshakes, provided to the community by Sensenig’s and their event partners, Hostetter Realty and Little Stream Auto Rentals.
Feed mill tours will also be conducted at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Milkshakes will be given away until the supply runs out.
Since 2021, this event has aimed to bring together the greater New Holland community and area dairy farm families. It is both an outreach and education opportunity as well as a June Dairy Month celebration. Chester County Dairy Royalty will also be present to celebrate and educate.
“To bring awareness to dairy and do good in the community at the same time, that’s what it’s all about,” says Kyle Sensenig.
“Besides, everyone loves milkshakes,” adds his father, Mike.
They love seeing the children, families, and people of all ages come in by car, bike, scooter, and buggy, and leave with big smiles.
This event got its start during the pandemic in the spring of 2020, when the Sensenigs purchased 7500 whole milk gallons to give away in the parking lot and to food bank ministries at a difficult time of great uncertainty when milk was being dumped, stores were limiting purchases, and many businesses were closed.
Since then, it has transformed into a fun and delicious way to educate and celebrate June Dairy Month.
